Terrane

Our phones habitually distract our attention from the world around us. This app changes its context to amplify your surroundings. Terrane is an environmental synthesizer that makes sound from the place you are in. It listens through your iPhone and plays your environment back transformed via a short buffer: granular textures, focused field listening, and harmonic soundbeds.

It's easier to understand Terrane by experiencing it firsthand. Download it for free on the App Store.
