After Effects / Premiere Plugin
CRVHST
CRVHST (pronounced “crust”) mangles your footage with the looks of CRT displays, analog video signals, worn VHS tapes, monochrome terminals, arcade vectors, and damaged broadcast recordings.
This is the complete plugin—not a trial and not watermarked. Enter $0 to download it free, or pay what feels fair if you would like to support my future creative tools.

What it can do
- CRT phosphor masks, scanlines, bloom, glow, peaking, and color response.
- VHS tracking damage, snow, dropouts, chroma loss, head switching, and edge wave.
- Spherical, cylindrical, and fisheye screen geometry with image overscan.
- Optional centered 4:3 matte for widescreen VHS-style framing.
- Animated deterministic noise, dead pixels, glass, haze, glare, and reflections.
- After Effects phosphor persistence with adjustable trail length and frame distance.
- After Effects audio reactivity driven by Convert Audio to Keyframes (read the instructions on the script to use).
- Editable presets including Consumer NTSC, VHS SP/EP, Glitch, 90s Pay Per View, Fish Eye Skate Video, Green/Amber Terminal, Arcade Vector, and Radar.
Compatibility
- macOS 13 Ventura or later.
- Apple Silicon Mac.
- Adobe After Effects 2025/2026 or Adobe Premiere Pro 2025/2026.
- Mercury GPU Acceleration using Metal.
This release is macOS/Metal-only. Windows and software-only rendering are not supported. Persistence and audio reactivity are After Effects-only and are hidden in Premiere Pro.
The universal bundle contains an Intel x86_64 slice, but it was not tested in Adobe applications on Intel Mac hardware. Intel compatibility is provided as-is and is outside the official support target.
